IS THIS OUR FUTURE ??

In your opinion, is something like this possible in our society? Could information be so controlled by the government to the point where people do not even know the difference? Explain why you think so.

RESPONSE:

Yes. I do think this is possible because the government is the center of our society it represents civilization. It is the fundamental part of our society. If our government was attacked the core of our society would be broken. The POWER of the government is so great that we couldn't survive without it, we as a society and civilization would be absolutely nothing. We need the government to survive. This is from the view of a person.
Now imagine you as a government official with so much power and wealth. Sometimes its natural for people to become a bit greedy. But there is always a boundary line. The amount of power and money at stake can really change someone. All the information we receive from the outside world is controlled by our government. We watch the news today and believe everything we see, but these people could just lie about the information and you would probably never know. The government has the power to brainwash us, they can tell us lies about other country's and we would easily believe it, and now all of a sudden we would be hating a country for doing absolutely nothing. The same works with the people. They can manipulate us into thinking what they want us to think. So much is their power, we give to these people who in reality are strangers, that we stop thinking for ourselves because we assume that the government has already got us covered. But the more we keep thinking this the more vulnerable we are. And to the government... we are just their puppets. We are just their road block in the path of money and power!
