Assignment: The Big Brother concept? Could this happen in society? Is it already?
I do think in a way that this is already happening in our society. In the big brother TV show the people are constantly watched and nothing really gets past the camera lenses. Your every move is filmed and there is no such thing as privacy. This does and doesn't happen in our society. I do believe that we have privacy, in our home, to a certain degree, because our phone conversations can be heard by the government and by strangers. We don't even know when this is happening.However when we are in the public we are constantly watched, there is no privacy what so ever. First of all we are always watched by others, most of the time strangers. We are constantly viewed by the public eye, when we step out of our house. Also, today's technology has advanced tremendously. There are cameras every where. On the highways, corners, malls, stores, supermarkets!! Every where. We are always watched, when outside of our home. In the future, I do think its possible that we soon won't even have the privacy of our own home. The government is the head of our society and I do think that they virtually control everything. The government can slowly manipulate us, into thinking this is the best. Today some security systems have this feature, complete strangers can be watching us for our "safety" so they say. Even in some of our cars we are being watched. GMC cars have an on star feature,were they can find us anywhere and identify us. SO we are being watched every were we go. Sometimes our home isn't out of limits. For now I can say most people do have privacy in their homes, but that's "for now" the future has no limits.
